The Grateful Series: Intro💫

My beautiful readers🎉!

On the 24th of December it will be a year since i wrote my first post, since i first let you all in to my mind and my heart and i can honestly say i have grown so much since then.

What i originally intended as a platform to express my thoughts, and my deepest, darkest feelings somehow turned into a sort of post office where i can send you all my love and light and poetry. Somewhere in the middle of the year i went from writer to artist, from complaining about straws( yes! That post happened this year!😂) to declaring my love for the human race and it's flaws. I discovered that i wanted to do more than just analyse things and write about them, but that i also wanted to to use words to heal people. Now, i don't know if i have succeeded but I do know that i will continue working on this all the way into the oncoming year so at some point, it will have to work. I recognize that art is nothing if it does not add value therefore, i am dedicated to adding value into your lives by spreading kindness, grace and love with words.

I count it all grace to be able to talk so freely about love and grace because as i once mentioned in another post, i haven't always been like this. There was a time when it literally hurt to exist and i could have used the kindness that i am trying to give. I made it out of my dark days because of a whole village that took it's time to show me kindness, patience and understanding and words cannot possibly express how grateful i am.

It does not mean that i won't try, however. I will try to express this gratitude the best way i know how; in words and love letters. I will be doing a Life Actually Christmas Special called The Grateful Series. Do not feel intimidated by the big words and the bold font, this is just my unecessarily extra way of saying that i will be writing about 10 people who made a contribution in getting me out of my head and into my heart. It's basically 10 soft, mushy love letters to say thank you because a.) I have no money for Christmas presents and b.) I don't need an excuse to write love letters on my very own personal blog thank you very much!

I pray you are not only entertained by these letters but that they move and inspire you to appreciate the people in your life who are always there for you. I pray that you are made aware of the immense blessing you have been trusted with by having these people in your life. I pray that somehow, somewhere you discover the love that is lingering on your doorstep and you open the door and let it in.

Pps: This would be a really be a good opportunity to shoot my shot but alas, my life is actually (get it? Life, Actually?) so boring i don't even have a shot to shoot😂

    Yes!! Your words have succeeded in healing 💜💜 keep on doing this work you're doing and I'm totally totally excited about the series and I can't wait and can you write all parts of the series at once🙈🙈

Non-conformist is a label

I am a non-conformist who hates labels. Yes, i see the irony in that statement. I'm still trying to find a way to describe myself without using that phrase because, well, we have already established why. I hate labels and non-conformist on it's own is a label. Before i explain my attitude towards labels, I'd like to point out why i identify as a non-conformist, among other things. The first time i deliberated the word conformist was at a university information session. The recruitment officer asked me to stand up and tell everyone the story of how i came to apply to the school and what the application process was like because i had already been accepted to the university.
