Kuzothi Makulunga

Breathe in breathe out
Sthandwa sam
Kuzothi makulunga
Lizothi maliphuma
Ilanga
sizomangala sikhohlwe
ukuthi wake wakhala

Keep a steady heartbeat
Place your hand in mine
Uyazi ungowami
Ntwana yami
I want to do this with you
Please do this with me!
Inyembezi azipheli
Kunini ngi khala?
Bungapheli ubuhlungu
But khululeka sthandwa sami
I love you.

Ugly crying under the covers
Snot sticking to our hair.
It's a lot. I know it is
But mina nawe sizoba sharp
Okungapheliyo kuyahlola
Sizalibona ilanga
Nakanjani.

Inhliziyo ibuhlungu?
Let me comfort you.
Uyasinda umzimba?
Let me carry you.
Do you feel broken?
Let me pick up the pieces
Ngikubambele wona until you're ready
To put them back,
mpintshi, jeki
Nawe uyazi kuzolunga.

But please don't forget my love
I need you to do this for me too.
I'm hurt im broken and dying
My fingers tremble as i write this
wierd poem
Half love-letter, half cry for help
My shirtsleeves are soaked in tears.
Ngingene ngeheart, I'm sorry.
Does anybody care to dig me out?
Breathe in breathe out
Take deep breaths, let it all out.
You're breaking and it hurts.
But uzoba sharp don't worry
Ngoba kuzothi makulunga
Lizophuma ilanga
Inyembezi zizaphela

I love you and i need you
All at the same time.
Uthando
Lokukhanya
Lokuthula
Kuzolunga.
